Abstract

In this machine, the front part is equipped with a mowing unit. The cut material cut by the mowing unit (1) and treated by a conditioning drum (2) is accelerated rearwards and conveyed further in a conveying channel. Arranged in the flight path of the cut material is a baffle wall (5) which is formed by a single wide conveyor band (6) closed on itself. As a result of the momentary adhesion to the front strand of the conveyor band, the cut material is deflected and is discharged to the side before it can fall to the ground. The flight path of the cut material varies according to the inclination or pivoting of the baffle wall (5) relative to the ground surface and/or to the variable speed of the band (6). This assists the depositing of the cut material in swathes; moreover, a differing loosening of the cut material is obtained. <IMAGE>
