Abstract
1531122 Valves TRANE CO 3 June 1977 23773/77 Heading F2V In a valve plate for a reciprocating compressor suction gas flow paths are defined between the corrugations of a member 24 secured between upper and lower plates 21, 22 which are separated by a central member 23 and have suction ports 25 and discharge ports 18 formed therein. The corrugated member is cut away at 26 so as not to restrict the suction ports 25 Valve members 7, 9 co-operating with stop plates 6, 11 respectively control flow through the ports 25, 18. The member 23 may be integral with the upper or lower plate which may be annular. The central member may have a central discharge port which co-operates with a crown on the piston to reduce clearance volume. The valve plate components are secured by brazing.
