[Also in Division B1] An electromagnetically operated valve of the type in which an electromagnetically operated pilot valve 8 controls flow from a chamber to an outlet 1 to allow actuation of a main valve 5 carried by a diaphragm or piston 4, is provided with a coarse filter 13 at the inlet 2 and a fine filter 12 upstream of the pilot valve seat. The coarse filter is formed by axial and circular strips of thermoplastic material having a flange 14, with sealing ribs, which is clamped between the inlet and a pipe connection. The filter has an eccentric projection which supports an orifice plate 18. The second filter 12 is preferably welded to an orifice plate attached to the diaphragm or piston 4.
