Endless-chain machines; moulding slag; pressure-producing mechanism.-In apparatus for moulding slag or other material whilst in a molten condition, an endless chain conveyer a' carrying plates A, provided with projecting surfaces shaped according to the panels or recesses to be produced in the moulded slag &c., travels in conjunction with a series of moulds C mounted on another endless chain conveyer c<1>, the plates A closing the moulds C and impressing the contents of the moulds until they have solidified to the required consistency. The rollers a<2> of endless convever c<1> are guided by bars a", a<12>. The bottoms of the moulds may be provided with recessing or panelling plates C<1> so that the top and bottom of the moulded article may be panelled or recessed.
