Abstract

1529550 Open end spinning rotor brakes MASCHINENFABRIK RIETER AG 22 Aug 1977 [26 Aug 1976] 35116/77 Heading DID An open end spinning unit whose rotor and shaft 26 are pivotable to disengage a drive belt 25 and engage a shoe 28 on brake lever 27 is provided with an additional mechanism whereby the brake is engageable without pivoting the rotor shaft from its operating position. This is effected by a plunger 13 which through a parallelogram linkage 1, 8, 10, 18 lifts a jockey wheel 21 to raise drive belt 25 from rotor shaft 26 while pushing brake lever 27 into engagement. This may be effected by a travelling piecing-up device which operates on the plunger 13.
