Abstract

Theknotter selector for a baler has a clutch including a continuously rotating drive plate with pick ups and a coupling section which is connected with the knotter shaft. A pivoted selection pawl which is controlled by a selection rod and bale measuring wheel is fitted to the coupling section. The drive plate (8) has a fixed pick-up (20) and a cut-off rail segment (21). The cut off pawl (22) and a cut-off rail lever (27) are fitted so that when selection is initiated, the cut-off rail lever lies outside on the rail segment (21). After the pick-up has passed the roller (14), the selector paid can pivot, and the roller can fall into the guide rim (19).
