Abstract

1529186 Surgical syringes R J KREB 1 Sept 1977 36529/77 Heading A5R A surgical syringe for withdrawing or expelling fluid and sealing fluid contained therein includes a cylindrical barrel 12 closed at one end and a plunger 14, a discharge nipple 18, suitable for attachment of a hypodermic needle extending through a slot 30 in the closed end of the barrel from an outermost seal 24 disposed within the barrel, a passage 27 through both the outermost seal 24 and the nipple 18 being selectively closable by an apertured innermost seal 26 fixed within the barrel 12 on rotation of the nipple and outermost seal relative to the slot.
