Holding and picking-up tools.-A combined strainer and vessel-moving appliance comprises a strainer plate 10, a handle member 18, 20 of thick wire secured rigidly to it, the ends of the parts 18 passing through the plate and forming hooks to engage the ring of the vessel, and a second handle member 13, 14, 15 pivoted to the plate and slidably engaging a member 22 by means of a loop 16, the end 21 of the member 22 sliding on the parts 18 and also engaing the rim of the vessel. By grasping the members 15, 20, the vessel can be lifted and tilted to pour the liquid therefrom through the plate 10, one edge of which conforms to a portion of the periphery of the vessel.
