Abstract

1528631 Vehicle floor construction TI-BROOK Inc 20 Sept 1976 [29 Sept 1975] 39788/75 Heading B7B In a floor construction for placement on a main frame 10 of a load carrying vehicle, a plurality of longitudinally extending panel members 25 are connected together by means of channel members 30 having locking webs 32 which engage shoulder portions 29 of flanges 28 formed on outer legs 27 of the panel members 25, thus preventing lateral movement between the panel members. A plurality of head fasteners 38 secure the panel and channel members 25, 30 to upper surface 19 of the main frame 10. As shown in Fig. 1, the flanges 28 are arranged to pass beneath upper flanges 20 of main frame I-beams 15 which are raised from the surface 19. The panel and channel members 25, 30 which are preferably aluminium alloy may be adapted to mate with wooden plank members 23.
