Supporting. - An adjustable electric lamp fitting comprises a bridge-piece A which slides on rods B supporting a shade or reflector, to which rods it may be clamped by screws F. A tube D having its lower end D' screwed to take a lamp holder passes through a hole C in the bridgepiece and has a longitudinal slot D<3> from which extend a series of inclined slots D<4> adapted to engage a pin E projecting into them from the wedge piece in such a manner that the tube D may be adjusted with respect to the bridge-piece.
