152,829. Cammell, Laird, & Co., Carter, Sir G. J., and Purves, J. Sept. 1, 1919. Gauge glasses and the like.-A water-level indicator for steamgenerators consists of the combination in a single fitting of a perforated metal tube gauge as described in Specification 129,787 with a glass or other gauge of ordinary type, so that in the event of breakage of the glass the water-level can be indicated by the nature of the jets issuing from the perforated tube. The boiler fittings A, B are provided with sockets and gland nuts d<2>, e<2> for securing respectively the perforated tube D and the glass tube E, removable plugs being provided to give access for cleaning purposes. In each fitting is a three-way cock F, G, whereby either or bcth tubes may be put into communication with the boiler, or drained through the drain cock H. The cocks F, G, H are preferably fitted with packing-glands.
