1525955 Rotary positive-displacement fluidmachines VIBRATECHNIQUES Ltd 17 Feb 1976 [17 Feb 1975] 6626/75 Heading F1F In a vibrator (not shown) of the type operated by pressurized fluid and comprising an inner cylinder within an outer cylinder, one of the cylinders being fixed and the other rotating, a bearing surface located at one end of, and normal to the axis of, the rotating cylinder slides against a similarly disposed bearing surface of the fixed cylinder provided by a circular plate 2 of synthetic plastics material having a lower coefficient of friction e.g. P.T.F.E., attached to a backing disc 1 by pressfitted dowels 5. As shown, the disc 1 may have a flange 1b engaged by a sealing ring 4 contained in a peripheral groove of the plate 2, and the plate 2 may be separated from the disc 1 in the axial direction of the disc by an O-ring 3. There may be only two dowels 5.
