Abstract

1525464 Endless bucket elevators BABCOCKMOXEY Ltd 23 Feb 1976 [21 Nov 1974] 50577/74 Heading B8A An endless bucket conveyer passing over upper and lower reversing rollers 3a for moving material between higher and lower levels wherein each bucket 9a is provided at its sides with follower rollers 21 which along part of the conveyer circuit co-operate with guide rails 20 to constrain the buckets to move along a predetermined path. The follower rollers also include flanges which engage the sides of the rails to laterally guide the conveyer. A flexible sheet 12 is provided between adjacent buckets and each sheet is secured to the leading edge of the rear wall of one bucket and to the trailing edge of the rear wall of the next bucket to prevent material falling and lodging between the buckets and an endless belt 1a to which the buckets are secured on transverse line joints. In the embodiment of Fig. 1 (not shown) the leading edge of the rear wall of each bucket supports a strip of rubber which projects over the trailing edge of the rear wall of the next preceding bucket to prevent material lodging under the buckets.
