Abstract

1524974 Loading pallets INTERPLAN INTERNATIONALES PLANUNGSBURO FUR FORDER UND LAGERTECHNIK GmbH & CO KG 21 Aug 1975 [29 Oct 1974] 34856/75 Heading B8C Palletizing apparatus includes a storage and transport track for a plurality of pallets for receiving different kinds of objects, one or other of the pallets being movable into a loading station according to the kind of objects being fed to the station, and a vertically movable packing plate to lower a layer of objects on to a pallet. A pallet may be raised in the loading station by an elevating mechanism on the carriage or by a stationary one extending through the carriage, or by a vertically movable slide member which either can move a lifting fork beneath the pallet or can engage a lifting fork provided on the pallet. At the loading station a layer is assembled on the packing plate which can move laterally either as a whole, or in two parts away from one another, to deposit the layer on the pallet. The layer can be pre-arranged on a stationary plate and then be moved on to one of two laterally movable plates. If there is not enough objects to form a complete layer an incomplete layer may be pushed on to a temporary storage table. There may be two storage tables. Alternatively the objects may be fed from a supply conveyer to a loading station feed conveyer via a plurality of storage tracks, each track being arranged to supply sufficient objects for a layer. A sack (or box) feeding device is also described (Figs. 14 and 15, not shown) comprising a vibrating table (65) for evenly distributing the contents of sacks, a conveyer (62) with bars (63, 64) to align the sacks, a feed roller (66) to supply the sacks in sequence, and a main conveyer having a pivotable baffle plate (68), a pin (69) to rotate the sacks, a stop bar (70), and a transfer bar (71) to push the formed layer on to the packing plate.
