Abstract

1524901 Direct connections AMP Inc 17 Feb 1977 [17 March 1976] 10809/76 Heading H2E A one piece sheet metal electrical terminal comprises a pair of parallel plate members 1 joined at two corners by a pair of parallel tie members 2, and wing members 5 extending from the sides of one or both plate members and having inwardly turned portions 6 to provide shoulders 7, the arrangement being such that when an insulated electrical wire is forced through the open ends of aligned slots 3 in the plate members 1 to cause the insulation to be penetrated and electrical connection to be established, the shoulders 7 prevent withdrawal of the wire from the slots 3.
