Abstract
1521297 Drying gases A J HAMRIN 5 Aug 1975 [19 Aug 1974] 32750/75 Heading B16 In a method for drying fluid involving a plurality of drying towers in which at least one is used in the drying mode, and the rest in the reactivation mode, the change of flow of the fluid from exhausted drying towers to regenerated towers is effected without pressure surges, e.g. by synchronously operating values 2a and 2b, Fig. 1, in the outlet/ inlet of towers 1 and la by pneumatic unit 29, Fig. 3 so that one valve is gradually opened to the same extent as the other is gradually closed. In the towers to be coactivated, air is passed through a heating zone in the tower then through the drying agent, then cooling fluid is passed through the tower, the pressure between the towers in different modes being equalised before redirecting the flow of fluid to the towers.
