Abstract

1519844 Window frames SOC POUR L'INDUSTRIALISATION RATIONNELLE DU BATIMENT IRBA Gp 2 July 1975 [4 July 1974] 27825/75 Heading E1J A window assembly in which a frame member of extruded cellular plastics have grooves receiving extruded metal frame members. In Figs. 1-3, (Figs. 1 and 2 not shown) an outer frame 3 has three members of plastics keyed to a wall by bolts 24 and a sill 7 of aluminium. Sliding sashes 1, 2 have aluminium frames with runners 17 and upper guides 18. Overlapping portions of the sashes have a PVC seal 32 Fig. 3A, and brush 33. In Figs. 4-6 (not shown) an outer rectangular frame 43 is of plastics with an additional sill member 48 of metal. Sashes 41, 42 have metal frames. In Figs. 7-8 (not shown) a fixed frame comprises plastics frame members with an additional plastics sill member 76, and glazing strips 84 of metal. In Fig. 9 (not shown) two plastics frame members 91, 92 are connected by a metal member.
