Abstract

151,827. Young, S. J. Jan. 10, 1920. Spring devices. - In spring forks for motorcycles &c. wherein the fork a is connected to the head by pivoted side links c, m in pairs one above the other, the pairs being of different lengths and inclined forwardly towards each other, each lower link m is pivoted at l between its ends to the fork, and the outer end of the link is connected by a shackle n to a spring o which is secured to the head member b and extends forwardly therefrom at about ninety degrees. A rod r connecting the fork blades is provided with rubber or like pads (not shown) to engage with the underside of the springs for damping out rebound movement.
