Abstract

1517321 Ventilating and air conditioning buildings G MECKLER 1 June 1975 20410/75 Heading F4V Air conditioning apparatus for delivering conditioned air through a duct 288 to a zone 290 of a building comprises a mixing chamber to which primary conditioned air from a duct 265 under the control of a valve 266 is mixed with recirculated air from the zone passing through an inlet 283, and either heated, further air from a plenum 298 passes thereto through a inlet 282 or a heater (not shown) in the mixing chamber supplies heat to the mixute before extraction therefrom by a blower 287 for discharge into the zone. The plenum air is heated by inducement through a light fitting 291 in the zone ceiling. The inlets 282, 283 are controlled by valves 285, 286 respectively and the valves may be pneumatically or fluidically operated in response to sensed temperatures. A refrigeration coil may also be situated in the mixing duct.
