Abstract

1516506 Wrapping tables PERFARAP Ltd 2 Oct 1975 [2 Oct 1974] 42818/74 Heading B8C A film dispensing and over-wrapping unit comprises means 10, 11 to support a roll of cling film, a wrapping surface 2, a cutting blade 5 spaced from and beneath the surface 2, and a film guide 4 between the blade and means 10, 11 and at a level above that of the cutting blade. The film is manually draped over an article 3 positioned against a lip 15 on the surface 2. The article and film are then lifted on to a plate (17) mounted on a bracket 14 at the front of the unit, causing the film to pivot a guard 6 away from the blade 5 which is serrated. The wrapping is finished on the plate 17. A heat-sealing plate may replaced or be positioned alongside the plate 17. The cradle rollers 10, 11 supporting the roll may be positioned beneath or behind the surface 2. The guard 7 and guide 4 may be covered with PTFE tape on their upper surfaces. The surface 2 may be pivotally mounted adjacent the lip 15.
