1516297 Lift actuated grippers H P NEEF 25 June 1975 [3 April 1974] 14877/74 Heading B8H Apparatus for handling sheets of glass comprises a lifting beam (1) Fig. 1 (not shown) and a pair of grippers 7 suspended by respective cables (3) from pre-selected position on the beam. Each gripper comprises a pair of pivoted links 9 with handles 8 to receive loops 3a at the ends of a cable (3) and jaws 12 each pivoted at 11 to a respective link 9 and further connected to the other link by a pin and slot connection 13, 14.
