Abstract

1514689 Pipe couplings HAMBLETON BARD Ltd 25 March 1977 12790/77 Heading F2G A connector 1 for connection of a gas container 20 having an orifice 22 closed by a valve 23, to a tube 10 comprises an upper chamber 3 containing an 0-ring 17 which seals with a bush 25 on the container 20 when screw threads 18 on the connector 1 are screwed into threads 19 on the container 20, the upper chamber 3 being separated from a lower chamber 4 by a web 5 perforated at 6 to allow gas flow, the tube 10 having an 0-ring 11 which seals with a wall 14 of the chamber 4 when screw threads 9 on the tube 10 are screwed into threads 8 in the connector 1, the web 5 engaging a peg 24 on the valve 23 to open the valve when the connector 1 and container 20 are coupled.
