Abstract

151,437. Glenfield & Kennedy, and Borland, J. H. T. Aug. 15, 1919. Sluice gates.-To effect a tight and readily renewable joint between a gate of the free-roller type and the bottom sill, and to provide adjustment of the joint face, a longitudinal knife bar A is adjustably secured to the lower edge of the gate D by bolts E which pass through vertical slots in the plate A. The sill C is preferably of the type shown, provided with a removable timber jointing-member B.
