Abstract
1514084 Fuel pipe layout J GUIDO 18 June 1976 [19 June 1975] 25427/76 Heading F1B The pipes connecting an injection pump to a number of injectors are arranged so as to suppress vibrations resulting from pulsating fuel pressures and engine and/or vehicle vibrations. Pipes 2, 3 and 4 are all of the same cross-section and length, and are held together by a rubber-bushed clip 9, 10. Pipes 2,3 run side-by-side through clip 12 and then to their associated injectors 2a, 3a. Pipe 4 is bent away from pipes 2 and 3 a short distance from clip 9, 10, then runs parallel to pipes 2 and 3 to return bend 14 and then side-by-side with pipes 2 and 3, through clip 11. The direction of fuel flow through the last mentioned part of pipe 4 is opposite to that through pipes 2, 3. Pipes 5, 6 and 7 are similarly arranged.
