1513396 Flattening seams NAHMASCHINENWERK WITTENBERGE VEB 2 July 1975 27828/75 Heading D1G Apparatus for flattening a stitched seam fed to an ironing station comprises two bars 1, 2, the first supporting the material and co-operating with a guide edge of the second which guides the seam allowances C on one of its two sides, the other side being located in a plane which forms with the supporting surface of the first bar an angle of from 60‹-90‹, and on that other side is arranged a drive device 3 which applies to the material an oblique force component, and means for opening and spreading the allowances C which comprise two flat surfaces supplied with streams of air from two slot shaped nozzles.
