Abstract

1302978 Delivering sheets R ROBERT 13 Jan 1971 [16 Jan 1970] 1670/71 Heading B8R Sheets 6 of fabric material are fed in turn over a work-table 3 after processing until a part of the sheet BC hangs vertically in the vicinity of two superposed perforated air pressure conduits 1, 2 and a receiving bar 5. In one form, a detachable overhanging portion 4 of the table bridges the gap between the body of the table and the upper conduit 1. Air from the conduit 2 first blows and holds the hanging part BC against the bar 5, and then air from the conduit 1 flips the horizontal part AB of the sheet over the bar so as to drape the sheet thereon with the surface uppermost on the table downwards, and the conduits between the bar and the table. In another form, the portion 4 is omitted and the bar 5 is located beneath the table, the air being directed in the opposite direction, again towards the bar, so that the horizontal part is flipped over the bar so as to drape the sheet thereon with the surface uppermost on the table upwards. The bar 5 may be pivoted on pins under the table.
