Abstract

1512434 Fuel dispensing nozzle SHELL INTERNATIONALE RESEARCH MAATSCHAPPIJ BV 11 June 1975 [13 June 1974] 25018/75 Heading B8N A fuel dispensing nozzle has its body made of plastics material and provided with an electrical connection 36 between an annular conductor 38 at the hose connection end and an elongated conductor 32 at the spout end. The conductor 32 may be a lever moved when the nozzle is inserted in a vehicle tank to open a safety valve 34. The body is assembled from a handle part 14, a central part 16 with a delivery control mechanism 28, a spout part 18 and a protective part 22 acting as a trigger guard. The electrical connection 36 comprises a metal strip 40 riveted to the annular conductor and sprung at the other end 42 on to the conductor 32.
