Abstract

1511803 Winding device; tensioning means E BAILETTI 23 March 1976 11608/76 Heading D1J [Also in Division F2] A rope tensioning device comprising an annular metal band 10 with opposed holes 13, 14 includes a wind-up shaft 11 with a hole 12 that can be aligned with the holes 13, 14. The band 10 has punched up ratchet teeth 15', 15"' engageable. by a toothed wheel 17 that rotates with the shaft 11. A spring 19 presses the toothed wheel 17 against the ratchet teeth 15', 15"'. By threading the rope through the holes 13, 12, 14 and then securing the rope to rigid fixtures at each of its two ends, the rope can be tensioned by rotating the shaft 11.
