Abstract

1511489 Ventilator flap COLT INTERNATIONAL Ltd 17 March 1976 [17 Dec 1974] 54351/74 Heading ASA [Also in Divisions E2 and F4] A hinged ventilator flap 22 is normally raised and lowered with respect to a frame by an operating device 70 but in a fire or fusible link can release further operating means to raise both the device 70 and the flap. In the embodiment shown a ram 70 acts against the flap and against closer springs 88 in normal operation. The ram is located on arm 40 pivoted to the frame (Fig. 3) and torsion springs 50 act to pivot arm upwardly on release of latch 61 held by fusible link 65. The arm 40 can be restrained directly by a fusible link.
