1511406 Cylinder end caps WABCO WESTINGHOUSE GmbH 3 Nov 1976 [8 Nov 1975] 45726/76 Heading F2T An end cap for a cylinder 1 has a tapering portion in which is formed at least one laterally extending attachment point 8 for a connection pipe (not shown), the tapering portion being provided with an external circumferential bulge 6 which joins the or each attachment point 8. The embodiment shows the end cap serving also as a connection between two cylinders 1, 2. The bulge is said to strengthen the end cap without producing local stress concentration.
