1509883 Electromagnetic mixing apparatus NI INST TEKHNOL AVTOMOBIL PROMYSHLENN 13 Oct 1976 42565/76 Heading B1C An apparatus for the continuous preparation of a suspension by mixing the components of the suspension in a stream passing through a bed of ferromagnetic particles moving in an electromagnetic field, comprises a mixing chamber 5 receiving ferromaigneitic particles, an annular inductor 3 for producing a rotating magnetic field and a tubular inlet 6 having a feed screw 11 for solid, the feed screw being mounted on a hollow feed shaft 12 for liquid. The outlet of the chamber comprises an S - shaped flexible conduit 17 suspended from a vertically adjustable bracket 18. The solid is fed to the screw via a branch pipe 7 connected to a feed line 8 via a swivel coupling 21. The chamber 5 is carried in a housing 2 pivotally connected to a framework 1 by a pivot 20 which together with coupling 21 allows the housing to rotate about the longitudinal axis of the branch pipe.
