Abstract

1515208 Cooling granular materials PLASTUND ELASTVERARBEITUNGS - MASCHINEN - KOMBINAT KARL - MARXSTADT VEB 17 Aug 1976 [3 Sept 1975] 34186/76 Heading F4U A cooling device, e.g. for thermoplastic granules, comprises a substantially horizontally mounted tube 3 through which the granules pass from a filling sleeve 2 to an outlet sleeve 6 and cooling air is tangentially introduced through a screened inlet 11 extending the length of the tube and which exhausts through screened air outlets 13. The inclination of the tube on the frame 4 is adjustable and a vibrator 5 provides oscillation of the tube to assist conveyance of the granules. The tube wall may be liquid cooled.
