Abstract

1507828 Packaging G B GOODMAN 8 May 1975 [9 May 1974] 20404/74 Heading B8C A package for small articles, e.g. of haberdashery, comprises a base card 3 on which a number of articles are mounted in a blister 2 and a display card 5 having an opening covered by the card 3 and in which the articles are visible. Such packages may be produced by forming spaced blisters (8) in a plastics sheet (7), Figs. 6, 7 (not shown), feeding articles into the blisters, applying a backing card (12) of similarly dimensioned periphery to the sheet (7) and sealing it by a heat-sealing head (15) thereto at its periphery and at the surfaces (9) between the blisters (8), and cutting the assembly along the surfaces (9) by cutting press (16) into individual items which are subsequently mounted over the openings in the cards 5. The cards 3 and 5 may be joined by heat sealing, adhesive, staples or a sheet may be pasted over the back of the package.
