Abstract

1506704 Sheet forming JET PLASTICS & ENG Ltd 20 March 1975 [22 Dec 1973] 59701/73 Heading B5A A sheet of thermoplastic material is disposed on a former and both are surrounded by a common heating medium, e.g. by immersion in hot glycerine, to soften the sheet so that it can conform to the shape of the former, and when the sheet is shaped it is cooled and set, e.g. by immersing it, together with the former, in cold water. Sheet deformation may be assisted by hot air jets or other pressing means.
