Abstract

1505903 Friction gearing ESTUDIOS TECNICOS INDUSTRIALES SA ETISA 28 May 1975 [28 May 1974] 23288/75 Heading F2Q A cylinder 20 is supported and rotated by means of pneumatic-tyred wheels 22 arranged on parallel axes and grouped in pairs, each pair being fixed to an axle 1 and driven by a respective hydraulic motor 26. In a modification, shown in Fig. 3, the wheels 22 are rotatably mounted on a single shaft 1 at each side of the cylinder and are driven by hydraulic motors 4 through elastic couplings 3. In the embodiment shown in Fig. 5, each pair of wheels 22 is mounted directly on the shaft of a respective hydraulic motor 26. In a further modification, shown in Fig. 7, hydraulic motors 26 are located within the pairs of wheels 22. The hydraulic motors are coupled to an hydraulic power circuit.
