Abstract

1505768 Stacking bales L E WISEMAN 13 Aug 1976 [15 Aug 1975] 34159/75 Heading B5F Bales are picked off the ground or received direct from a baling machine and fed by a conveyer 26 to a sub-frame 40 where they are stacked. The sub-frame 40 is pivotally mounted at 42 on the main frame of the bale sledge and comprises a receiving surface 43 provided with a transversely extending rod 44 and angle iron 45. The lower end of the stack is supported by bars 46 and one side thereof by a sheet of wood 47. When the stack is complete an operator on a platform (52), Fig. 1 (not shown), releases a catch to pivot the sub-frame 40 until the bars 46 are horizontal and thus deposit the stack on the ground. The conveyer 26 pushes the bales up inclined members (20) to the top end of the receiving surface 43 and is driven by a groundengaging wheel 30.
