Abstract

1505648 Valves BARKING BRASSWARE CO Ltd 25 July 1975 [30 July 1974] 33586/74 Heading F2V A water mixer tap has a body 1 with first and second water inlets 4, 5; an outlet member 8 with two separate flow paths 22, 23, retained in a socket formed by a wall 11 of body 1 with a flexible member 12, 13; there being a releasable device 35 to prevent outward flexure of the member; and there being also an outlet member end fitting 24 providing separate flow paths from the first and second inlets to the separate flow paths of outlet member 8. As shown, the flexible member consists of fingers 12 inturned at 13 and held, by a frusto-conical cap 35, towards a split sleeve 34 retained by a flange at the end of outlet tube 21. The end fitting 24 is hollow and fits into the convoluted tube 22 and has a core 25 engaging an aperture 7 in the wall of the first inlet 5. Ribs 26 permit flow from the other inlet 4 to the space 23. A fitting (29), Fig. 1 (not shown), at the free end of the outlet has a spacer (37), Fig. 3A (not shown), to maintain concentricity between tubes 21 and 22 and a flow straightener (42). A shroud 36 may be fitted.
