Abstract

1505475 Dispersing gases in liquids SULZER BROS Ltd 22 July 1976 [23 July 1975] 30632/76 Heading B1C [Also in Division E1] Ground water enters a well 3 through horizontal pipes or catchment tubes 1 and passes from an entry zone 2 to a removal zone 10 through a duct 12 in which is at least one static mixing element 14, there being a compressed air inlet adjacent to and upstream of the mixer 14. The mixer may be of the type in which corrugated plates are arranged in a stack with their corrugations vertically at right angles and at 45‹ to the vertical axis of the duct 12, as described and claimed in the Specification 1373142 (and see also Fig. 2, not shown). The individual plates may be of different sizes to form a cylindrical member fitting in a circular duct 12.
