Abstract
1,188,516. Mixing in tortuous passages. BAXENDEN CHEMICAL CO. Ltd. 12 June, 1967 [7 July, 1966], No. 30576/66. Heading B1C. A device for mixing polymerisation materials comprises a stack of similar members 3 each consisting of a disc 16 with a skirt 17 and an aperture 9, juxtaposed to form a stack having a plurality of chambers 15 with a continuous tortuous passage through the stack. Annular elastomer seals 1, 2 prevent materials being mixed from coming into contact with the joints between the members. There are inlets 12, 13 for the materials and an inlet 14 for air or other aerating agent. (For Figure see next page)
