Abstract

1504922 Jet pumps SRC LABORATORIES Inc 4 April 1975 [18 April 1974] 13834/75 Heading F1E In a pressure-operated dispensing nozzle, a secondary fluid is entrained in two stages by a flow of pressurized fluid which enters a housing 11 by a port 14, entrains a flow 19 secondary fluid in passing into a first passage 17 in a first annular member 18, and entrains another flow 22 secondary fluid in passage from the first passage into a second passage 21 in a second annular member 20 and then the combined fluid leaves via exit 21b in passage 21. The distance between the two annular members may be varied on releasing screw 23 and moving member 20, which allows adjustment of flow 22 in response to changes in the pressure difference between the ambient atmosphere and the secondary fluid. Screw 23 may be replaced by a spring-loaded plunger fitting into a series of indentations in member 20 to provide distance settings for the members, Fig. 2 (not shown). Either or both fluids may be air.
