Abstract

1504747 Laminating apparatus INDUSTRIAS MONTERREY SA 26 Feb 1975 7965/75 Heading B5N An apparatus for producing laminated panelling made of a core 19 of rigid polyurethane foam sandwiched between two outer facing sheets 3, 11 comprises a production line having two successive sections:-a first upstream section A having at its upstream end take-off means 1, 2 for metal webs to be used as facing sheets and additionally comprising means for treating the metal webs, and a second, downstream section B capable of receiving metal webs from the first section and provided at its upstream end with take-off means for webs of other material which are to be used as facing sheets and which do not require the treatment, the laminated panelling being produced at the second section. In the embodiment described, the means for treating the metal webs comprise means 8 and 15 to provide the metal sheets with the desired designs. Section B of the apparatus comprises means 29 and 32 for the supply of facing material e.g. paper, cardboard or plastics and means in chamber 10 for injecting a polyol and a polyisocyanate between the facing materials, the conveying means 21 having an upper section 22 and a lower section 23 adjustable to vary the thickness of the panelling. Coolers 24 and 25 are provided to harden the polyurethane.
