Abstract

1502661 Dispensing liquids ALUMASC Ltd 16 Jan 1976 [17 Jan 1975] 2138/75 Heading B8N [Also in Division G4] A liquid metering apparatus comprises a turbine type flow meter which produces a pulsed electrical output as a function of the rate of liquid flow and this output is fed to an electronic counter and used with a compensating signal dependent on the speed of the flow meter and used in the control of the delivery of the liquid. The flow meter is used with transducer TD whose output is fed to a binary counter BC. The counter has twelve change-over programme switches which are set to a selected code, e.g. 01110100101, to reset a memory circuit when coincidence occurs with the count-up of the counter. A monostable MONO 1 can be switched in or out of a compensating circuit by switches S1, S2 to either double the pulses or inhibit the pulses for short time periods to compensate for the flow characteristic of the flow meter.
