Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain detailed fault information by optionally selecting the reset interval of a counter counting fault outputs of a digital line to take out an optional detecting level from the counter. CONSTITUTION:A counter 4 generates a detecting output 2 in every reception of prescribed m pulse-like fault outputs 1 from a digital trunk line interface device DTL within a fized period (t). The interval (t) of a reset pulse 3 to be inputted to the counter 4 is selected from reset pulses 31-34 which have different pulse intervals respectively by the combination of values 61, 62 indicated by a detecting level setting switch 7, which controls a selector 5. Thus, a detecting output with an optional detecting level can be taken out on the basis of the set values of the switch 7.
