Abstract

An electronic regulator is used in tariff instruments such as maximum indicator counters and totalisors. An electronic regulator is able to operate without wear and without requiring maintenance. An electronic regulator uses two clock controlled binary counters (4, 5) to change the pulse rate. The counters are preprogrammed (6, 7) by given values by coding switches. The clock pulses to the binary counters are controlled by a flip flop (8) which enables when a counting pulse arrives and disables when the predetermined value of one of the counters is achieved. A second clock controlled flip flop (9) affected by the other binary counter provides a reset to zero signal for the counter when it achieves the predetermined value. It also provides a counting pulse.
