Abstract
1501383 Vehicles including windmill-driven generators T P PRICE 30 April 1975 [31 Jan 1974] 04643/74 Heading B7H A vehicle driven by an electric motor 5 has two separate banks of batteries 4, each bank of batteries being charged by an associated windmill-driven generator 7 or 8. In use, one bank of batteries is connected to the electric motor to drive the vehicle while the other bank of batteries is being charged by rotation of its associated windmill 9 or 14. The vehicle body has suitable ducts or ports 16, 17, 19 for directing air to the windmills. The electric switching system may be set to place both banks of batteries on charge simultaneously.
