Abstract

1501255 Two-part couplings DU PONT DE NEMOURS (NEDERLAND) BV 17 April 1975 15960/75 Heading H2E A contact member for edge connection to a printed circuit board comprises a generally U- shaped body 1 of which one or both arms 2, 3 comprise resilient contacting means with contact surfaces 5, 6 constructed so that on entry of a contact strip or pin between the arms, the foremost contact surface may easily be displaced until the contact strip reaches the rearmost contact surface 6 when the full contact pressure is brought to bear. The foremost contact may be formed as a bent arm to provide extra resilience. The contact is preferably stamped from a sheet of phosphor bronze. Many such contacts may be used together in an insulating block.
