Abstract
1500395 Relay energizing circuit SCHLEICHER GmbH & CO RELAIS-WERKE KG 29 May 1975 [6 June 1974] 23397/75 Heading H3T A relay Re energizing circuit as shown has the property that it energizes the relay momentarily either when a supply voltage Uv is applied to the circuit or when the voltage is removed from the circuit depending upon which of two contact-pairs AN and AB is bridged, respectively. In effect the circuit shown acts as a differentiator causing a positive voltage pulse to be applied across the relay when the supply voltage is connected and a negative voltage pulse when the supply is disconnected, one of these pulses being shunted around the relay by one of the diodes. Connection of the supply voltage Uv, which may be either A.C. or D.C., causes capacitors C3 and C4 to charge via a resistor R1 and either relay winding Re or a diode Gr3. Capacitors C1 and C2 also charge, the potential across C I being limited to about 0À6 v by a diode Gr2, thereby maintaining a transistor T off. With all four capacitors charged disconnection of the supply voltage Uv causes C2, C3 and C4 to discharge initially via a resistor R2 and the baseemitter path of transistor T and then, when T becomes conductive, via R3 which is considerably smaller than R4. A potentiometer R6 varies the relay "on" time.
