Abstract
1500044 Turbomachine blade fixing T G J NORBUT 6 March 1975 [25 March 1974] 9431/75 Heading FIT To reduce the generation of severe stress-strain concentrations and non-uniform distributions in turbomachinery blading, e.g. for turbines or compressors, the blade roots engage in axial or transverse slots in the disc, and the disc rim is provided with raised lugs 13 on opposite sides of each slot and having a greater radius of curvature than the blade tang accommodating portions 6. The blade roots may be of the fir-tree type. Specific materials for the disc 9, e.g. metals, ceramics, composites, are given.
