1499910 Vehicle undercarriages LINKÍPINGS TRANSPORTINDUSTRI AB 12 March 1975 [14 March 1974] 10218/75 Heading B7D A semi-trailer for transporting shipping containers 29 assembled on a loading frame 30 has an undercarriage comprising a plurality of two-wheel bogies 10 mounted on longitudinal pivot shafts 13 carried by pairs of transverse rocker arms 14 mounted on longitudinal balance arms 16 carried by master balance arms 17. The master balance arms 17 are connected to respective limbs 22 of a U-shaped lifting frame 20 connected to the frame 2 of the semi-trailer by lifting links 23, 24. Hydraulic rams 28 can be extended to swing the lifting frame 20 on the links 23, 24 from a retracted position to the position shown so that the semi-trailer frame 2 can be inserted under the containers 29 and then raised to engage the loading frame 30 and lift the loading frame and the containers.
