Abstract

1499040 Feeding fibers to an opening roller; open end spinners SCHUBERT & SALZER MASCHINENFABRIK AG 8 Oct 1975 [11 Oct 1974] 41331/75 Headings DID and DIN An opener device for an open-end spinning machine wherein a housing 1 contains an opener roller 2, a feed roller 3 and a loading part 4 which cooperates with the feed roller, has an opening 11 provided in the housing wall between the loading part and the opener roller, slide surfaces being provided around several sides of this opening on which the loading part slides. The slide surfaces may be concentric with the opener roller and adjacent or remote from the opener. The slide part has suitable cooperating surfaces which are resiliently biased against the slide surface e.g. by spring 44. In Fig. 1 the loading part is carried on a lever 5 which is resiliently biassed towards the feed roller. The slide surfaces may be straight and tangential to the opener surface, Fig. 5, or may be oppositely curved and tangential, Fig. 4 (not shown). The loading part may have a cut out in which a pressure roller fits, Fig. 7 (not shown). Fig. 6 shows a conical opening roller 22 which extends into the spinning rotor 103.
